the intent of Signature Insurance Services to provide the quality
employee benefit products and platforms that are required to fund
the employee benefit plans selected by the client. It is our aim
to achieve this through direct, focused, and ongoing support in
a team-oriented partnership with each client; and to implement it
in collaboration with the client’s financial, legal, and tax
advisers, and our own consultants and specialists. (The recommendations
of representatives of Signature Insurance Services are not intended
to replace the need for independent tax, accounting, and legal review.
We advise our Clients to seek the counsel of such licensed professionals.)
Evaluation and recommendations:
Signature Insurance Services alliances with leading quality carriers
allow for the provision of a wide range of superior plan designs
and products, and we utilize only those leading providers who meet
both the high financial standards of national rating services, and
our own due diligence process. As we closely monitor the group insurance
industry, we review the progress and performance of client products.
In periodic meetings, we advise our clients of any changes in benefits,
legislation, rates, and carrier procedures. As they are provided
the opportunity to review their options and make any appropriate
change, they can fine-tune or update plans if more appropriate options
evolve. The services we provide depend on ongoing client communications,
in person, in writing, and/or by phone, to facilitate the up-to-date
administration and documentation of all benefits plans. As a consequence,
any possible disputes with benefit providers are resolved quickly
Implementation and procedures:
Once the benefit plans are installed, Signature Insurance Services & Our Affiliates sets up policies and procedures with the employer and employees
to establish the maintenance of the benefit plans. A significant
element of our ongoing commitment is to ensure that employees are
educated and understand their plans; effective communication is
critical. Although limited by confidentiality laws (HIPAA), we assist
with problem claims for all members of the business group. Since
we are involved with the employee benefit plans on a daily basis,
and are experienced with problem resolution, we advise our clients
not contact the benefit providers directly.
At least once per year, Signature Insurance Services requires a
meeting with the company owner and/or the human resources director
to complete an annual review. No more than two cancellations of
the annual meeting can occur before a client receives a letter advising
of our serious concerns. If a meeting cannot be facilitated, termination
of the relationship should be considered. If our service has not
been satisfactory, the client may terminate the relationship at
any time, and we will assist with a transition to another entity
of the client’s choice.
